The objective of this project was to create a compound machine able to lift a weight of approximately eight ounces vertically a vertical distance of six inches in three minutes or less using VEX™ kit parts.
I learned to understand how design elements can affect mechanical advantage, how simple machines can work together to accomplish a task, and also compare machines’ efficiency in a working situation. I also become more familiar with VEX™ components for future projects.
